I fell in love with that quote by Annie Danielson when I received a photo collage of and from my brother's family - "Home is where your story begins" is stamped on the frame.
In my walks and travels, I often find myself captivated by the homes I see along the way. Home can be sanctuary, a place to live and grow, welcome and gather, celebrate and commemorate. Homes have personality and so I tend to approach these paintings as portraits - a part of our heritage, capturing a moment in time of the home's life with a view to the designer's and owner's visions, revealing a capsule in which stories unfold.
